Manousis, Weinberg to present Visiting Artist lecture

Artists Joanna Manousis and Zac Weinberg will present a lecture Nov. 7 as a part of the School of Art and Design Visiting Artist Program.

The lecture is at 7 p.m. in Morris Library’s John C. Guyon Auditorium. Funded by the Fine Arts Activity Fee, the Visiting Artist Program lecture is free and open to the public.

Manousis is a British–American artist working in glass and mixed media. Her work has been recognized with nominations for the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award and a Bombay Sapphire Award Nomination for “Excellence in Glass” as well as the Margaret M. Mead Award and the Hans Godo Frabel Award.

Weinberg’s projects address object value systems with a concentration on utility and mobility. He has a bachelor of fine arts from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and an MFA in glass from the Ohio State University.

Weinberg’s scholarships and awards for his glass and mixed-media creations include third place in the Jutta Cuny-Franz Memorial Award and selection in the New Glass Review 36.
