Media advisory – SIU’s 150th Anniversary roadshow visits Cobden

SIU Carbondale’s state-wide road show celebrating its 150th anniversary continues in Cobden on Thursday, Oct. 3. Chancellor John M. Dunn will host alumni and friends at the Old Feed Store, 111 N. Appleknocker Drive, from 6 to 8 p.m. 

This is the 8th stop for the road show, which will make more than 25 stops during the university’s 150th anniversary year, which concludes in March 2020. To date, the show has been to Pinckneyville, Springfield, Du Quoin, Effingham, Mattoon, Champaign and Decatur. Chicago, St. Louis, Rockford, Marion, Galena and Quincy are among the other cities on the roadshow tour. Events to connect with alumni and friends also are planned for Los Angeles, California; Naples, Florida, and New York City.
