SIUC Annuitants Association sponsoring Red Cross blood drives this month
The university, through the SIUC Annuitants Association, is partnering with the American Red Cross to hold a two-day blood drive later this month.
The blood drives are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug. 26-27, in the Student Center Renaissance Room. Potential donors can visit the American Red Cross website or call 800-733-2767 (800-Red Cross) to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome the day of the drive.
A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age, (16 with parental consent) who weigh at least 110 pounds and who are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
