Appointments are available for ‘Give Adults a Smile Day’ in July

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Openings are available for the eighth “Give Adults a Smile Day” at Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Dental Hygiene Clinic next month. 

This year, senior adults age 65 and over who are covered under Medicare, have no dental insurance and who are on a fixed income will be seen for the free dental exams, cleanings, X-rays and fluoride varnish treatments. The event is for those 65 years and older. 

The event is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 19, at the SIU Dental Hygiene Clinic, 1365 Douglas Drive, located west of the SIU Arena. Appointments must be made between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday by calling 618/453-8826.

Organizers encourage eligible patients to call. Patients will be seen by appointment only.
