Volunteers needed to help promote the university’s 150th anniversary

There are several opportunities this summer and fall to help spread the word about the great events on campus and to promote the university’s 150th anniversary.

The list of available events both on campus and in Carbondale continues to grow.

The schedule is:

  • June 15: 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Old Train Depot, Carbondale Chamber of Commerce Showcase.
  • June 28: 6-9 p.m., Town Square Pavilion, “Jammin’ June” featuring music, games and a bounce house.
  • July 13: 8 a.m. to Noon, Westown Shopping Center, Carbondale Farmer’s Market.
  • July 26: 6-9 p.m., Town Square Pavilion, “Beat the Heat” featuring a dunk tank and water activities.
  • Aug. 10: 8 a.m.-Noon, Westown Shopping Center, Carbondale Farmer’s Market.
  • Aug. 23: 6-9 p.m., Town Square Pavilion, “Pups Night Out.” – Win back-to-school prizes and dogs are welcome.
  • Sept. 14: 8 a.m.-Noon, Westown Shopping Center, Carbondale Farmer’s Market.
  • Sept. 20: 6-9 p.m., “Fall Harvest” – A third Friday Fair, the evening will feature a bounce house, photo booth and kids’ activities.
  • Oct. 12: 8 a.m.-Noon, Westown Shopping Center, Carbondale Farmer’s Market.
  • Oct. 25 – “Dia De Los Muertos” – SI CABE Fandango
