Student Speakers Forum will focus on finances and the future
Six undergraduate students will share their thoughts on finances and the future in a student speakers’ public forum on Tuesday in the Student Center Auditorium.
The forum is from 7 to 8 p.m., April 16. The event is free and open to the public. This is the 19th year for the forums, which happen each semester.
The Department of Communication Studies and the Society for Civil Discourse, who sponsor the event, are given a platform to discuss topics selected by undergraduate and graduate students.
This semester’s topic is “At Any Cost . . . Finances and Our Future.”
The speakers are from among 15 students who auditioned. The students who will be speaking, with their majors and year in school, are:
- Kierra Greer, Social Work, freshman.
- Matthew Griesbach, History, freshman.
- Kiara Hartmann, Communication Studies, sophomore.
- Payton Morris, German Studies, Freshman.
- Patrick Murphy, Political Science, sophomore.
- Luis Prado, Geography and Environmental Resources, senior.
