Equipment inventory update and training sessions are next week
Ahead of the annual fixed asset inventory that will begin in a few weeks, property control will host equipment inventory update and training sessions Tuesday and Wednesday.
The sessions in Morris Library’s John C. Guyon Auditorium, Room 140A are:
- Tuesday – 1:30 to 3 p.m.
- Wednesday – 9 to 10:30 a.m.
The sessions for employees who are responsible for their unit’s equipment inventory and for unit officers who want to take an active role with their inventory equipment management.
Registration is not required. Employees may attend only one session.
A state rule change regarding the marking and inventory of university equipment will greatly affect the inventory process. Managing a unit’s equipment inventory is an ongoing process beginning with the purchase and ending with the disposal.
Accurate records and a thorough physical inventory are required to prevent loss.
This session will walk you through the steps required and update you on changes made with inventory management to help employees become good stewards of university equipment.
