Workshops, events will focus on international education

As a part of International Education Week, the university’s Center for International Education (CIE) will hold events and workshops for faculty, staff and students beginning Sunday.

The initiative focuses on resources available to faculty and staff and students throughout the year. The daily events and workshops through Nov. 16 will promote campus internationalization and highlight the critical role that cultural competency plays in the university’s research innovation, enrollment goals and student success, said Andrew Carver, CIE’s executive director of international affairs.

This is the second year CIE is participating in International Education Week, a U.S. Department of State and the U.S Department of Education initiative to promote the benefits of international education and exchange.
