‘Saluki Touch-a-Truck’ set for Nov. 3 at Saluki Stadium
Kids of all ages are enamored with big trucks.
They have an opportunity to see these big rigs up close Nov. 3 with an interactive “Saluki Touch-a-Truck” event outside of Saluki Stadium, 1400 Arena Drive, Carbondale. Some of the BIGGEST equipment, including bulldozers, a police cruiser and all sizes of trucks will be on hand for kids and adults to touch, climb on, and get inside these large vehicles.
The event, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is free and open to the public. A parent or guardian must accompany minors to the vehicles.
“Saluki Touch a Truck” precedes the Saluki football game against Western Illinois at 1 p.m. Tickets are required to attend the football game. The game is also the SIU faculty and staff appreciation game, and faculty and staff receive free admission. Faculty and staff can also buy guest tickets for $8.
Saluki Athletics and the Office of the Chancellor are sponsoring the truck event.
