New Student Programs seeks Orientation Leaders
Faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate student orientation leaders for 2019.
New Student Programs is seeking nominations of highly qualified, energetic, knowledgeable and dynamic undergraduate students who would be great in representing the university at first-year and transfer New Student Orientation events, build relationships with prospective students and their families, and ease the transition of new students into the university community.
The nomination deadline is Oct. 29.
As part of the job description applicants must:
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Spring, summer and fall 2019 work availability.
- Be in good judicial standing.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn about and relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Know and be willing to learn more about resources for SIU students.

Up to five students may be nominated with this form. Nominees will receive an email with information about the position and how to apply. Even if you are unsure whether a candidate meets these qualifications, they may still be nominated.
