Online ethics training starts Monday
Mandatory online 2018 ethics training for all permanent SIU faculty, staff, graduate assistants, and volunteers takes place Oct. 1-31 on the Desire2Learn (D2L) platform: mycourses.siu.edu. School of Medicine civil service employees who are on the Carbondale campus will also complete training using D2L.
Student workers and extra help employees will be required to complete the training program via D2L as part of their annual ethics training requirement for 2018.
To log in, enter your SIU ID (siu85XXXXXXX) or SIU email address and NetID password. After logging in, locate the “Southern Illinois University Ethics training (2018)” course in “My Courses” on your D2L homepage. A quick reference guide for accessing the training is available on the Labor and Employee Relations website.
If there are technical problems accessing the training or if there are questions about ethics training, contact Tracy Bennett, the campus ethics training coordinator, at tracyben@siu.edu or 453-2474. If you have an ethics concern, contact Michelle Taylor, the university ethics officer, at mtaylor@siu.edu or the system office at 536-3461.
For more information, go to the SIU Ethics Office website.
The online ethics training is separate from the sexual harassment training, also available via D2L, which must be completed by Oct. 1. All employees must complete both trainings.
