Media Advisory – SIU Day bringing over 600 high school students to campus
More than 600 students from 23 high schools around the region will be attending the inaugural SIU Day at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Wednesday. Reporters, photographers and news crews are welcome to cover the event.
SIU Day is a fun-filled, college-wide event featuring a sustainability showcase, student panels, information about registered student organizations and student services, entertainment and more than 30 interactive activities and demonstrations highlighting the diverse academic programs, organizations and activities SIU has to offer.
Media are welcome to come to the Corker Lounge in the Student Center at 9 a.m. as students are about to begin the morning’s activities or they can come to the lawn of the Agriculture Building between 11 a.m. and noon as the students gather for lunch and then begin the afternoon activities.
