‘First Thursdays’ lecture to look at virtual reality and photogrammetry

Reid Perkins-Buzo, assistant professor in the Department of Radio, Television, and Digital Media, will present a lecture Sept. 6, on virtual reality storytelling and the practical art of photogrammetry.

The lecture is the inaugural “First Thursdays at Three Thirty,” presentations of current research by faculty in the department for the 2018-19 school year. The lecture is in Communications Building, Room 1046. The event is free.

Perkins-Buzo will screen a virtual reality demonstration of his recent work for an R. Buckminster Fuller exhibit here on campus. He will also explore the art of building 3D models for 150 of Fuller’s design models through the use of photogrammetry.
