Media Advisory – SIU Professors, including former Kennedy clerk, available to provide Supreme Court Nominee Expert Analysis

With President Donald J. Trump expected to name his nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday, the Southern Illinois University School of Law has experts who will be available once the announcement is made to provide insight to reporters, photographers and news crews.

Associate Professor Steven J. Macias teaches teach Constitutional Law classes.  Assistant Professor Edward Dawson, who clerked for retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy in 2004, teaches classes that include federal courts. The nominee, if approved by the U.S. Senate, will fill Kennedy’s seat on the nine-member court.
