University’s diversity plan moves forward

On April 30, the members of the Chancellor’s Diversity Council presented SIU’s Diversity Plan to Chancellor Carlo Montemagno and received his approval to move forward, according to Todd Bryson, interim associate chancellor for diversity. 

“As we move through the implementation process, we will share the objectives, strategies and action plans with the campus,” Bryson said. 

Over the next few months, the council will contact colleges, schools and departments for input and information. 

“The Chancellor’s Diversity Council looks forward to working with the entire campus as we implement our Diversity Plan in the fall of 2018 and as we continually modify it to accommodate the needs of the campus in the years ahead,” Bryson said.
