SIU’s Student Center Craft Shop hosting 2018 Valentine’s craft sale and workshops
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Celebrate Valentine’s Day with crafting fun and find a special gift for yourself or your sweetheart at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Student Center on Feb. 14.
The center’s Craft Shop is sponsoring its annual Valentine’s Day Craft Sale from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. in the Art Gallery on the first floor of the Student Center. The sale, free and open to the public, features a variety of arts and crafts items and unique gift ideas, courtesy of local artisans.
Make and Take Crafts
The Craft Shop is also inviting individuals and couples to join in for some “make and take” craft experiences that day. Anyone is welcome to stop by the shop, located on the lower level of the Student Center, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for some impromptu craft-making fun.
Participants can make wax hands, create pottery on the wheel, paint, and more. No reservations are necessary and there will be a nominal cost to cover the price of materials.
