December payroll reminders
Human Resources reminds faculty and staff that December is a short month for running all the necessary payrolls. Anyone responsible for entering or reporting time or sending in paperwork, is asked to pay attention to run dates on this month’s calendar so that everyone is paid correctly and on their designated pay date.
Please review fiscal officer certifications for any adjustments needed. Such adjustments may include but are not limited to, late contracts, incorrect pay and incorrect costing. All retroactive account adjustments (RAA) affecting W-2 forms need to be received by human resources payroll no later than Dec. 4.
In addition, with the end of the calendar year quickly approaching, employees are asked to review their mailing address via Human Resources Self Service and make the necessary corrections before Jan. 10 to ensure accurate W-2 reporting. Current and former employees, and retirees, are encouraged to maintain accurate addresses throughout the year.
All university employees are reminded they will have the ability to view and print their W-2 form if they complete an electronic W-2 consent form and return to payroll. This service, available to faculty, A/P and civil service staff, graduate and undergraduate assistants and students, will allow you to receive your W-2 form as soon as it is available without waiting for mail delivery.
Electronic W-2 consent forms need to be received by Human Resources-Payroll no later than Dec. 22.
