Heart Walk informational meeting is Aug. 31
The American Heart Association is sponsoring the 2017 Southern Illinois Heart and Stroke Walk on Oct. 7 at Walker’s Bluff Winery.
Any university faculty, staff or student interested in putting together a Heart Walk team and serving as a team captain is invited to attend a short breakfast meeting at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 31, at the Stone Center to obtain necessary instructions and materials.
It is not necessary to have team members identified for the Aug. 31 meeting. The American Heart Association regional director will be present to help set up online donations for each team, help with organization, and answer any other questions there might be about forming a team.
While not necessary, please call Paula Keith at 536-3471, if you plan to attend the organizational meeting to help with an approximate count for breakfast.
