Media Advisory – Pre-veterinary camp
It’s not at every summer camp where campers learn about giving health examinations to cattle, hogs and horses before noon. The inaugural Saluki Enrichment Pre-Veterinary Program camp, an SIU College of Agricultural Sciences program, hosts high school juniors and seniors, and recently graduates, to learn about ultrasound pregnancy checks, small animal exams and pet first aid, large animal exams and more. Guest speakers include several area veterinarians who are SIU alumni. The media is welcome to cover events and interview camp personnel or campers. The camp is today and tomorrow (July 17-18) at various locations at University Farms.
