Rocky Ledges 5K Trail Run set for April 15

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Registration is underway for the fifth annual Rocky Ledges 5K Trail Run on April 15 at Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Touch of Nature Environmental Center.

The event is open to the public and all ages are welcome to participate. The run/walk takes place at the experiential education facility located about eight miles south of Carbondale on Giant City Road.

Race day registration begins at 8 a.m. and the run kicks off at 9 a.m. in Camp 2. The awards presentation will follow. The 5K racing brackets and awards will be divided by age groups. Within the specified age groups, the top three male and female runners, as well as the overall top finisher, will earn recognition at the awards ceremony.

The entry fee is $25 for those who pre-register or $30 for those who sign up on race day. The price covers the race entry fee, a T-shirt, light snacks and awards.
