Baseball, softball open at home this weekend
The Saluki baseball and softball teams open the home portions of their season this weekend.
The baseball team, picked to finish second in the Missouri Valley Conference, hosts Western Illinois, Friday through Sunday, March 3-5, at Itchy Jones Stadium. The season schedule is here.
The softball team, picked to finish third in the MVC, hosts the annual “Coach B Classic” Friday through Sunday, at Charlotte West Stadium. The Salukis will face the University of Kentucky, Western Illinois, Northern Illinois and Murray State over the weekend. The season schedule is here.
Children 12 and under get into both sports free throughout the season.
In addition, Saluki Athletics have set faculty/staff appreciation games for both sports. The athletics department is offering faculty and staff a complimentary ticket for:
Baseball:
- April 18 – 5 p.m., vs. Belmont
Softball:
- April 25 – 4 p.m., vs. Evansville
