Media Advisory – Career Fair
Nearly 90 organizations will be present when Southern Illinois University Carbondale showcases its students at the annual spring Career Fair, Wednesday, Feb.22, at the SIU Arena.
Reporters, photographers, and news crews are welcome to cover the event, which will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participating businesses will be looking for interns and full-time employees; nearly 200 company representatives, many of whom are SIU Carbondale alumni, will be present. The career fair will give students a look at job opportunities both locally and around the country.
The Career Fair attendance list includes Access Dental and Dentures, Aisin Manufacturing Illinois, Amdocs, Ameren, Banterra Bank, Brooksource, BWX Technologies, Inc., Camping World, Cape Air/Nantucket Airlines, Carbondale Police Department, CDW, CommuteAir, Continental Tire, Cummins Inc., U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, Eaton Corp., Edward Jones, Gaylord Opryland,
Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Jasper Engines and Transmissions, Korte Design Inc., Midwest Regional Bank, Rose Acre Farms, Rush Enterprises, Southern Illinois Healthcare, St. Louis, Mo., public schools, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Urbana, Ill., school district, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Army Health Care, the U.S. Peace Corps, and Walgreens.
