Course will focus on drinking water, wastewater operations
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Center for Environmental Health and Safety will host a one-day continuing education course on drinking water and wastewater operations.
The course is March 15. The cost is $150. The morning session, from 9 a.m. to noon, is on drinking water operations and covers topics including chlorination, disinfection byproducts, taste and odors and filtration. The afternoon session, from 1 to 4 p.m., focuses on wastewater operations involving process control, troubleshooting and nutrient remover.
The course is offered by SIU Edwardsville’s Environmental Resources Training Center and will be taught by Jim Winslade, an adjunct instructor. The course will be held at SIU Carbondale’s Center for Environmental Health and Safety, 1325 Radio Drive, Room 112.
