Registration underway for SIU Assessment Conference

Registration is underway for the third annual SIU Assessment Conference on Feb. 23 in Morris Library. 

The conference, “Moving Beyond the ‘A’ Word to Student Learning and Engagement” features several presentations and panel discussions. Gianna Taylor Baker, assistant director of the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment is the keynote speaker. She will present “Mapping for Alignment: Bringing It All Together.” 

The conference will focus on student learning and engagement, diversity and inclusion, and the “how and why” of assessment. The presentations and panel discussions are here. 

The event is hosted by the Campus-Wide Assessment Committee and the Co-Curricular Assessment Committee, in cooperation with the Associate Provost for Academic Programs and the Office of Assessment and Program Review. 

The conference is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration is free; lunch is $5, or participants may bring their own lunch. If ordering, indicate your selection on the registration form. 

The deadline to pre-registration is 4:30 p.m., Feb. 20. Those who pre-register will receive conference materials and handouts. Late registration is also available but conference materials may be limited.
