Saluki “Black Out Cancer” games on tap
The Saluki men’s and women’s basketball teams will join Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) this week in the fight against cancer in Southern Illinois.
The men’s team hosts Illinois State at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the SIU Arena. The game also marks the final game in which fans can take advantage of the $10 ticket offer available over the academic break. The women host Wichita State at 6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 13, at the arena.
Both teams will wear special black jerseys that feature the name of a person or family affected by cancer. The jerseys were purchased by individuals and all proceeds benefit the SIH Foundation. Fans can purchase tickets at the game or in advance at SIUSalukis.com or by calling 877-Salukis (725-8547).
