Forum for Library Affairs dean is Monday

A candidate for dean of Library Affairs will meet with constituents in a forum next week.

John Pollitz, professor, and the director of libraries at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire since 2007, will have his forum on Monday, Dec. 12, in Morris Library’s John C. Guyon Auditorium.

Pollitz’s presentation, “The Future of the Library in a Digital Age,” is at 1:15 p.m.

The forum will give university students, staff and faculty an opportunity to meet with the candidate and ask questions about their proposed approaches to the position and is in conjunction with their interview for the position.

The dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer for the library, and is responsible for its programs, fiscal management, personnel, external relations, recruitment and retention, among other areas.  All candidates must have a strong record of academic leadership and administrative experience.

Pollitz’s full curriculum vita is available at http://pvcaa.siu.edu/current-searches/Searches.php.
