Forum for MCMA interim dean candidate is Thursday
A candidate for interim dean of the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts will meet with constituents in a forum next week.
Deborah Tudor, associate dean in MCMA and interim associate dean in the graduate studies program, will have her forum on Thursday, Oct. 13, in the Student Services Building, Room 170.
Tudor’s presentation, “Leading MCMA in the 21st Century,” is at 9:15 a.m.
The forum will give university students, staff and faculty an opportunity to meet with the candidate and ask questions about their proposed approaches to the position and is in conjunction with their interview for the position.
The interim dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer for the college and is responsible for its academic programs, fiscal management, personnel, external relations, recruitment and retention, among other areas. All candidates must have a strong record of academic leadership and administrative experience.
The interim dean will replace Dafna Lemish, who left SIU Carbondale after four years at the helm of the college.
