Media Advisory -- SIU Day at the Fair
Reporters, photographers and news crews are welcome to cover SIU Day at the Du Quoin State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 28.
The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 2 p.m. and concludes at 9 p.m. It takes place in the VIP Tent, in the southwest corner of the Du Quoin State Fairground near gate 6.
SIU Day at the Fair will feature special guests, activities and demonstrations for all ages. There will be coloring contests, blacksmithing, 3-D printing demonstrations, a climbing wall, arts and crafts, a balloon artist, two photo booths, inflatable punt and pass games, beer brewing, astronomy observations, and numerous other activities. Visitors can also talk with SIU administrators, academic representatives, coaches and athletes, and meet Saluki dogs and dawgs.
