Proposals are being accepted for ‘LEAD 2016’

Proposals are being accepted for those interested in speaking at the “LEAD 2016” leadership conference, Sept. 30, at the Student Center. The event is a joint venture between the Women’s Leadership Conference and the SI Leadership Conference.

Presenters will have an option of speaking at either, or both conferences. The Women’s Leadership Conference, in its third year, focuses on developing women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), business, and agricultural fields. That conference takes place in the morning.

The SI Leadership Conference, now in its sixth year, aims to inspire students to develop their own leadership styles through the encouragement of peers and professions. That conference will take place in the afternoon.

Linda Baker of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute and a university professor, is the luncheon keynote speaker.

The deadline for proposals is Sept. 9; applicants will be notified of their selection by Sept. 16.  Proposal information is available here.
