REACH application deadline is March 1

The Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities is accepting applications for this semester’s Research-Enriched Academic Challenge (REACH) grants during the month of February.

Officials said the center began accepting applications on Feb. 1 and will continue accepting them until Tuesday, March 1.

REACH is a competitive program, open to all disciplines, that offers up to 20 grant awards each year to full-time undergraduate students. Successful applicants can receive a grant of up to $1,500 to fund independent research or creative activities under the guidance of a faculty member. Currently, undergraduate assistantship positions are not available through the REACH grant, however.

All students are encouraged to apply for the grants, which provide a valuable opportunity for learning, gain experience, strengthen relationships with faculty members, and build resumes, among other advantages.
