Public forums for chancellor finalists set

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Four candidates for the position of chancellor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will visit campus and participate in interviews beginning next week. 

Each candidate will interview over a three-day period and participate in a public forum with the university community. Interview dates and details on public forums for each candidate follow. 

Susan M. Ford, acting provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at SIU Carbondale, will visit the campus beginning Monday, April 20 through Wednesday, April 22. Members of the campus community are welcome to attend a public forum with Ford at 8:45 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, in Morris Library’s John C. Guyon Auditorium. 

Sabah U. Randhawa, provost and executive vice president at Oregon State University, will visit the campus April 26-28, Members of the campus community are welcome to attend a public forum with Randhawa at 8:45 a.m., April 27, also in the library’s Guyon Auditorium. 

Pam Benoit, executive vice president and provost at Ohio University, will visit the campus May 3-5.  Members of the campus community are welcome to attend a public forum with Benoit at 8:45 a.m., May 4, in the Student Center Auditorium. 

Lawrence Schovanec, provost and senior vice president at Texas Tech University, will visit the campus May 6-8. Member of the campus community are welcome to attend a public forum with Schovanec at 8:45 a.m., May 7, in the library’s Guyon Auditorium.
