Annual Morris Library book sale is March 20-21

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Friends of Morris Library will host their annual book sale this month in the lower level of the library at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. 

The sale is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. Admission is free and open to the public. There will be a special preview sale from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 20. There is a $10 admission charge for the preview sale only. 

The sale will feature a wide variety of fiction, non-fiction, history, philosophy, biography, autobiography, criminology, nature, science, craft and self-help books, as well as cookbooks, children’s books and more. There will also be a large selection of videocassettes, DVDs and some record albums. Also featured are books published by the Southern Illinois University Press and publications about the Southern Illinois region. 

Book donations are being accepted through Tuesday, March 10, at 710 Book Store, Murdale True Value, Vogler Ford and the Furniture King. Organizers request donations only of good, saleable books of all types other than textbooks. 

Sale proceeds will benefit the library’s programs and activities.
