Violence protection training sessions set
There are three upcoming opportunities for new employees or faculty and staff who have yet to complete the federally mandated training the university provides to help all employees protect students from relationship violence.
This training is mandated in the federal Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act and is required of all SIU Carbondale faculty, staff, graduate assistants and undergraduate student employees. If you supervise student employees, please note that they must attend a training session during normal work hours. New and incoming students previously received an email concerning online and in-person training designed specifically for students. Student employees also must attend one of the employee sessions listed below.
The training will last for 90 minutes, and sessions are scheduled at various times during the start of the spring semester. Please pick the training session that best fits your normal work hours, and remember to bring your faculty/staff ID card. Pre-registration is not required. Here is the schedule.
