CARBONDALE, Ill. -- A lecture next week at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will provide insights into the downtown revitalization of another university community in the state.

The luncheon is free but advance registration is required for meal considerations.  The registration deadline for lunch is Friday, Oct. 17.  To register, call 618/453-4078 or email rsvp@paulsimoninstitute.org. Parking will be available in the lot south of the SIU Arena.

The presentation is part of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute’s “Building a Creative Economy in Southern Illinois” series.

“Cody is a thinker and developer who has had an impact on the revitalization of downtown Champaign. There is an old saying, ‘You can’t be what you can’t see.’ Well, Cody will help us see what Champaign did and how they did it so that Carbondale can be better,” David Yepsen, institute director said.
