Campus Sustainability Day is Oct. 22
Several activities are planned for Campus Sustainability Day on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
The latest round of Green Fund Award winners will be announced at 2 p.m. as part of the event. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a carnival-themed “Sustainival!” with games and information from several campus and community groups will be in the Student Center Art Gallery. Limited space is still available, so please contact the SIU Sustainability Office at 453-2786 to reserve a table.
At 3 p.m., there will be a workshop to make your own body scrub and hair tonic, followed at 4:30 p.m. by a free yoga session in the Old Main Room. At 6 p.m., in the Student Center Auditorium, there will be a free screening of “Plastic Paradise,” a documentary about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Visit sustainability.siu.edu for full details.
