Free research workshops available
Faculty and staff should be aware of an opportunity for students who are interested in pursuing research projects. Beginning Monday, Sept. 8, the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities will host free research and creative activities workshops for all undergraduate students.
The 10 workshops, scheduled between Sept. 8 and March 4, will cover topics including the definition of research and creative activities, the main steps of those projects, and designing a project. Students will also learn how to make effective posters for project presentations. Pre-registration is not necessary.
Each session is 75 minutes and includes 45 minutes for the workshop and discussion. Each of the programs will be in the Student Services Building and lunch or breakfast will be provided. For more information, contact the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities at 618/453-4433.
