State employee contribution drive starts Sept. 12

University employees will have the opportunity again this year to contribute to the State Employees Care A Lot (SECA) charity of your choice. 

The campaign begins Sept. 12 and runs through Nov. 7.  Pledge forms to contribute to nearly 2,000 SECA Qualified Charitable Organizations will be accepted through Dec. 5. 

This year marks the campaign’s 31st anniversary -- in efforts to meet social service needs statewide.  In 2013, state and university employees donated more than $2.4 million, according to the Illinois Department of Central Management Services. 

Since 1983, state employees have donated more than $72 million to SECA.
