Media Advisory -- Food and Wine Products Show

The 2014 Illinois Food and Wine Products Show at the Du Quoin State Fair on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 30-31, will provide several opportunities for media coverage. 

Reporters, photographers and news crews are welcome to attend the ribbon cutting and two-day show. Opening ceremonies begin at 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 30 in the fairground’s Exposition Hall. The show will be in the north end of the hall from noon to 7 p.m. on Aug. 30, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Aug. 31. 

The Illinois Small Business Development Center/International Trade Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and the Illinois Department of Agriculture are sponsoring the showcase.  Participants include companies with food products produced, processed or packaged in Illinois or companies headquartered in the state.  Participating companies will offer product samples and promotional information and have items available for the public to purchase.
