First Friday’s Music at Morris Library

“First Fridays Music at Morris Library,” a free lunchtime concert series open to the university community and the public, continues at noon on Friday, March 7, in the library rotunda. 

The first half of the concert will feature a series of viola solos.  Kira Browning, Jennifer Franklund and Victoria Moore will perform selections from Alexander Nagy, Quincy Porter and J.S. Bach.  The second half of the concert will be “Trio in C Major, Op.87,” by Beethoven performed by Andrew Leitza, Gregory Tomlinson and Edward Benyas, professor of oboe. 

Attendees can pre-order a brown bag lunch.  The SIU School of Music, Morris Library, and the Friends of Morris Library sponsor the concert series.
