Library Open House is Jan. 30

Dear Colleagues:

I invite you to join me and Library Affairs Dean Anne Cooper Moore on Jan. 30 to see the incredible transformation of the sixth and seventh floors of Morris Library. Self-guided tours and refreshments will be available during the open house, set for 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Let me share with you just a few details. Math Central on the sixth floor is a one-stop destination for instructor-led math classes, labs, tutoring and support. The Center for Learning Support Services is on the seventh floor, and its tutoring center features group study sessions, academic coaching, learning consultants, Saluki Peer Mentors, and math tutors. Testing services offers proctoring of a variety of exams, including distance education courses, nationally standardized tests, professional certification, and make-up exams.

The open and collaborative spaces, together with such amazing technology as mediascapes, will greatly enhance teaching and learning. The view of campus from both floors is definitely a bonus!

I look forward to seeing you on Jan. 30.

Sincerely,

Rita Cheng
Chancellor
