Sturgis Public Service Award nominations sought

Nominations for the Lindell W. Sturgis Public Service Award are now being accepted.  Established in 1979, the award is presented by the SIU Board of Trustees to a current SIU Carbondale employee to recognize public service efforts and “contributions to the community, area, state or nation” based upon activities unrelated to the employees’ job responsibilities. This prestigious award includes a cash gift of $750 and a plaque.
