James Wall given NATPE faculty fellowship
James Wall, senior lecturer of media industries in the Department of Radio, Television, and Digital Media in the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts has been selected as a National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) Faculty Fellowship recipient for the January 2014 NATPE Market and Conference. The conference is Jan. 27-29 in Miami, Fla.
The faculty fellowship program provides selected college and university media faculty with complete access to the sessions and activities of the annual NATPE Market and Conference. Special sessions for faculty fellows will be held that provide unique access to industry leaders, allowing professors to bring cutting-edge knowledge back to their students.
The annual event attracts executives from around the world for sessions featuring leaders from all facets of the global telecommunications industry, along with hundreds of exhibiting companies. The NATPE Faculty Fellowship program draws faculty and industry professionals together to help shape the future of education for the media industries.
The program’s goal is to expose the educational community to current television issues and practices, and to foster improved communication and cooperation between educators and the industry.
