SIU hosts Peace History Society Conference this week
SIU Carbondale hosts the Peace History Society's biannual conference Thursday through Sunday, October 24-26. In addition to academic papers and panels, the conference includes three events open to the public. The opening reception is at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Morris Library Rotunda and will feature poetry readings by Father Joseph Brown and Judy Jordan. The keynote address is at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the library’s John C. Guyon Auditorium and features Tony Perruci, author of “Paul Robeson and the Cold War Performance Complex.” A book signing and reception is at 4:30 p.m. in the Student Center’s Old Main Lounge.
