Be My Bra: Unite to Fight!
The 7th annual "Be My Bra: Unite to Fight!" competition is at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the lobby of the Student Health Center. The contest is designed to increase awareness about the importance monthly breast self-exams as a critical component of early detection among college-aged women. Be My Bra is a collaborative event between Southern Illinois Healthcare and the SIU Student Health Services Wellness & Health Promotion Services. Participants are encouraged to create an imaginatively decorated brassiere that symbolizes support and conveys the designer’s personal stance against breast cancer. Please submit a short narrative explaining how the design is representative of the theme. To enter, email Amy Behrens at amy.behrens@sih.net with a contact name, phone number and email address.
