British Soccer Camp set for June 10-14
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp will return to Southern Illinois University Carbondale in June.
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp is a top-rated youth soccer camp in the U.S. SIU’s Continuing Education and Outreach is collaborating with Challenger Sports to host another of the highly regarded British Soccer Camps.
The camp will be June 10-14 at Stehr Field on the University campus. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon for players ages 6 to 10 and from 1 to 4 p.m. for players ages 11 to 16.
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp focuses on a framework of character development based on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. Participants will receive instruction in key techniques and technical components of soccer while also learning about the geography, traditions and culture of countries with great soccer traditions.
The camp features highly trained and well-qualified coaches from Britain, who have specific training to lead these camps. Each coach has a genuine interest in helping each player develop and in providing each with a memorable and positive experience.
The camp registration fee is $135, and covers instruction, a camp T-shirt, a soccer ball, a giant soccer poster, and a skills performance evaluation. Registrations received after the June 1 early registration deadline have an additional $10 fee.
