Student Center to host Mother’s Day Brunch
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host its annual Mother's Day Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, at the Student Center Ballrooms. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The entrees include carved sweet and sour glazed ham, broiled chicken with mango and honey fruit relish. The menu also features mixed field green salad, black eye pea and corn salad, Mediterranean pearl couscous salad, fresh fruit, cheesy scrambled eggs, butter whipped mashed potatoes, biscuits and milk gravy, steamed vegetable medley, country green beans with bacon and caramelized onion. To finish the meal in style, guests will enjoy an assortment of sweets, cookies, cakes and pastries.
Purchased in advance, tickets are $13 for SIU students and senior adults and $14 for the general public. Tickets are $6.75 for children ages seven and younger. Prices at the door are $1 higher.
