Student Center is hosting annual Easter Buffet
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s annual Easter Buffet is March 31.
The event is set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Student Center Ballrooms. The meal begins with sweet and sour cucumber tomato salad, Caesar salad with Parmesan and housemade croutons, sweet chili noodle salad and broccoli, apple and carrot salad with honey and cranberry. Featured entrées are pineapple and apricot marmalade glazed ham and chicken breast with apple and honey fruit relish. Side dishes include roasted vegetable medley, sweet corn and red peppers and parsley creamed potatoes. The buffet also features an assortment of desserts including various cakes, cobblers, cookies and fresh fruit.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Advance tickets are $13 for students and senior adults, $14 for the general public and $6.75 for children ages seven and younger. Children four years and younger eat free. At the door, prices are $1 higher.
Advance tickets are available at the Student Center Business Office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets are also available by telephone by calling 618/453-3478 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
