Student Center presents Coffee House Series
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The spring 2013 Coffee House Series kicks off its live indoor concert season at Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a performance by Dan Barron on Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Student Center’s Roman Room.
Everyone is welcome to attend, enjoying free live music, desserts and coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.
Singer songwriter Dan Barron (www.reverbnation.com/danbarron.com) will perform his Indie/Folk incorporating the soft somber sounds of his favorite artists Damien Rice and Ray Lamontage, along with poetic lyrics. Barron has performed in a variety of locales, including coffee shops and restaurants on the Front Street in downtown Lahaina, Maui.
The Coffee House Series continues with live musical performances Feb. 26, March 26, and April 30. All are free and open to the public courtesy of Student Center Special Programs.
