17th Saluki Finals Finish is Dec. 11
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The fall semester will soon be over at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and to wrap it up in style the Student Recreation Center is hosting the 17th Saluki Finals Finish.
The event begins at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Student Recreation Center and will continue as long as the free food and beverages last. Students may also use the center’s facilities, and there will be numerous giveaways during the evening. The festivities are free for SIU Carbondale students.
“This event gives SIU Carbondale Students time to work off stress, study for finals or just relax at the end of the day,” said Gary Tisdale, assistant director of marketing for the Student Recreation Center.
Faculty and staff from throughout the campus will be serving the refreshments and also socializing with and supporting the students as they prepare for final exams. Some faculty members are also offering study sessions. To set up a study session or volunteer to help with the event, contact Tisdale at 618/453-1225 no later than 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10.
