ISC World Cup soccer finals this weekend

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The ISC World Cup Soccer Tournament will wrap up Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3-4, with championship play at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

The tournament, hosted by the University’s International Student Council, began Sept. 29, and has continued almost every weekend.  The semi-finals are set for Saturday at Stehr Field near Pulliam Hall.  The European team will take on the Green Falcons at 9 a.m., and the African Lions face off against the China team at 10:30 a.m.

The finale is set for Sunday at the Saluki Track and Field Complex near Abe Martin Field.  The third-place game is at 9 a.m., with the championship match at 10:30 a.m.
